Layout Design
fall 2018 Bizarro
Each semester, we create a parody/satire magazine called the “Bizarro Issue”. Our Fall 2018 Bizarro issue was a parody of tabloid magazines, and we “exposed” the truth about our beloved school mascot, University president, and others. As the creative director, I was the sole designer in charge of the layout design—I based the layout on the popular tabloid, People magazine. Below are samples of the layout designs and illustrations I worked on for the issue, as well as the Letter from the Editor I wrote.
Social Graphics
Hiring Campaign
One campaign I led during my senior year was a hiring campaign for some of the 2019-2020 Wake staff. I created a series of social graphics, informational posters, and back page ads to promote our open positions. I carried this same branding into a Call for Writers campaign we had for Issue 10, shown below.
